What is a personal history?
Every one of us has a story to tell, the story of our life. No one knows the story better than you. A personal history differs from a genealogy. Rather than focusing on where you come from, a personal history is all about you, the events and anecdotes that have made you who you are. You can tackle your story a chapter at a time, preserving the events of your childhood in one volume, your Vietnam War years in another and maybe your career life in yet another volume. Maybe you want everything under one cover. It’s up to you. Your story remains yours, the reading audience chosen by you.
Here’s how it works: Nancy will interview you in two sessions, then put your words to paper. We can incorporate snapshots, too. Once your story is finalized, you choose the presentation, soft bound or hard bound, depending on your budget. Then you decide how many copies you want.
We can also tackle your life from a distance, doing interviews over the phone, or in written questions and answers.
